9 MONTHS OLD!

Monday, June 10, 2013

So excuse my wind blown crazy hair, but on Ryan's 9 month birthday we arrived in Venice.
Pretty good birthday if you ask me-
I let him have lots of my gelato.:)
Poor thing was wondering what was going on with the time difference and why he still had to be awake when his body thought it was night time, so many tears were shed but he soon got used to it.
He was THE ONLY BABY, yes the only baby on the whole cruise ship.
He was loved and praised.
We walked through the halls and everyone knew his name.
He was in heaven!
He is a little waver! He loves to wave! You say "HI!" and he will wave at you!
This little peanut is everywhere.
If I turn my head for 5 seconds he is at the other side of the room about to pull down our fake tree, or about to tear something apart.
He pulls himself up on everything. He LOVES to stand.
I dare you not to laugh when he tries taking steps.
It's the funniest thing ever.
In his book, you have to bite that bottom lip or stick your tongue out or taking a step forward is not possible.
He is a total mamma's boy.
Just in the last month he has started holding his arms out to me.
Sometimes if he is sad, he looks for me and it doesn't matter who is holding him, he whimpers until I grab him.
I can't help but love it.
That being said, he is daddy's best bud.
Daddy gets home and all he wants to do is play with him.
They can sit there and play with balls forever.
He could spend all day in the water.
LOVES the water. He kicks and kicks and kicks.
He runs the Powell show around here.
All day long he talks away. "babbabababa"
He is such a happy baby.
He is our little giggler.
He giggles at just about everything and it's the cutest thing ever.
(P.S. Notice the porta crib 1 inch away from our bed?? Yeah he was in heaven. ha we told him not to get used to it:))
Talk about the best thing that ever happened to us.
Happy 9 months you precious little thing!
Pretty sure I am already planning your 1 year old b-day party.
Time better crawl until then.. it goes way too fast.

Back in the U.S.A.!!!

Mykonos, Greece with my 2 loves!
17 days backpacking around Europe, 26 hours on a plane combined, 7 countries, and 1,015 pictures later, we are back in the USA!
Thanks to my wonderful in-laws it was a dream vacation!
I never wanted to get off that cruise ship or stop eating pizza in Italy.

Mr. Ryan is 9.5 months old and growing like a weed.
I have so much updating to do!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
xoxo

Baby gets his first car.

Oh to be little and swim with no clothes:)

We decided Ryan needed something to roam around in.
SO At dinner (at the best seafood restaurant EVER) we broke the news to Ryan we were going to get him his first car.
He was clearly beyond thrilled.
We made it to the happiest section in the store AKA toy section and Ryan was happier than I get with an ice cream cone (which is pretty happy)
Talk about the best shopping buddy ever.

He really wanted the 600 dollar- (yes 600 dollar- who does that) water park,
but our bank account didn't like that idea.
So after telling him that wasn't an option,
we decided on Lightening McQueen.
(he doesn't look that excited, but he was happy)
We dreamt about it for a night,
and then made a pool day to try it out.
Have you ever seen a happier baby?
There he is. Car, tongue and all.
I think he would have stayed in it all day if I would have let him.
It was hilarious. He just floated around forever.
Just loving his new ride!
Oh and how cute is she?! I have the cutest MIL (mother in law) in the history of MIL's
Oh and p.s. see those floaties-
Yes the pink one is mine and the blue is Aaron's and we had about 15 races on those things.
I think that is the one thing EVER that I can beat my husband in.
We call them boat float races. I don't think I have ever been so proud.
After lots and lots of splashes,
And changing out a few swim diapers,
We took some steps.
A day is not complete these days without some walking.
It was one good weekend.
Happy first car little one.:)

Just Because.

BECAUSE 10 PM last night was one of happiest moments ever when my husband came home after completing his last final.
Congratulations to my bestest friend ever who is officially DONE with his second year of law school!
Summer has begun and I am so so so happy.
Because that face can brighten any day.
Because this is the only place I can stick Ryan without him getting into every drawer in the house.
Because there has been a lot of packing going on over here and Mr. Ryan's passport came in the mail.
My husband and I died laughing.
Nothing better than a baby mug shot.
Because I wish that towel came in my size.
You better believe I would buy one for my husband and I. ha
Because Ryan has more food than Aaron and I do.
But seriously.
Because my husband and I are #technologicallychallenged and cannot figure out how to get the alarm clock out of military time to save our lives, so I have learned to tell military time pretty well.
Yes I'm being dead serious. We can't figure it out.
Oh and P.S. see that bobby pin hiding underneath the clock? Total tangent but here we go.
*Is it just me or does anyone else buy a whole pack of bobby pins and lose all of them?
The other day we were at the grocery store and I told my husband I needed more bobby pins.
He started laughing and said "Babe, how come you need more of those things!? They are all over the house".
So needless to say I still bought them, and somehow they end up everywhere.*
Because Mr. Ryan is getting really good at standing (and because I could eat those little rolls on his legs!)
Because he is obsessed with his tongue.
It's always out. ALWAYS.
He cannot take a step with out it sticking out.
Because I think he could be teething??
Just because this picture makes me smile really big.
Because every time Ryan goes into plank,
I feel the need to get down and do my own plank.
I cannot have my 8.9 month old baby showing me up in ab strength.
Because sometimes Ryan just doesn't make it out of PJ's until 2 PM and he's ok with that:)
Anddd Because sometimes life has perfect moments. Like this one.:)

A post from Mr. Ryan

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

Oh heyyyy!
My name is Mr. Ryan.
You might have heard of me.
I will be 9 months old next week. SHH don't talk about it around mommy. She cries.
This is one of my favorite toys (obviously) my bunny.
But don't forget about Mr. Crush, my turtle.
I like to carry them everywhere I go.
Oh yeah, this is me doing my favorite thing.
Mommy says I wear her out.
I crawl everywhere and I'm really good at getting into everything.

Oh and see that little bit of drool on my shirt?
Mommy thinks I could be teething, but I keep trying to tell her that I'm not. I just like blowing lots of bubbles.
I love it when daddy changes me.
As long as I can hold my lotion bottle,
And tell him all about my day with mommy.
I'm a happy camper.
Daddy is so cool because he lets me ride my giraffe.
I laugh really hard when I get on him.
Bath time is really fun these days because I try and climb out of the tub.
Tell mommy I have outgrown my blue baby tub, she refuses to believe that I'm getting bigger and sticks me in that thing every time.
This is me after my bath in my favorite towel and holding my giraffe.
Oh and me again.
Mommy likes to take pictures of me all day. (instagram)

After a day of being king of my house I'm worn out and it's bedtime.
Mommy I will see you at 6:30 AM sharp because this week I have decided that that is when I'm ready to get up and I'm already getting hungry again.:)
