Weekend Review, Ryan's first time in a Walmart shopping cart, and happy SRPING BREAK to the husband!

Monday, March 11, 2013

I can't tell you how happy these two things made me Friday night on our date night.
Thank you for grandparents that are more than happy to take Ryan for a few hours.

Chipotle knows how to do guacamole right!
Seriously worth every cent of that extra $1.80.
and White Peach- (my favorite Red Mango yogurt flavor in the history of all flavors.)
If you haven't ever tried it- it tastes like you are eating a peachio in every bite.
Heavenly.

Nothing like picking this one up from Grandmas all wired up and putting him to bed.

I will probably say this 100,501 more times on this blog, but Saturday is my favorite day.
However this Saturday we had a rude awakening at 6 AM to someone who decided he was no longer tired, and the day needed to start.
So on our morning run little one was ready for naptime at 7:30 AM. haha

After a few errands, lunch, and Sams samples (a must on Saturday) we made our way to Walmart.
Who knew the excitement that would come from putting your baby in a shopping cart for their first time!?
Yes, Ryan can now sit all by himself in a shopping cart.
I'm a slight (ok kinda BIG) germ-a-phob and when I thought about putting a 6 month old in a shopping cart- I was more worried about the germs than anything.
For my baby shower my friend gave me THIS cart cover for Ryan.
All you mommas and "mommy's to be" need one!
It is super easy to throw on and off and I even put toys on either side of him to keep him occupied.
It has changed my life.

He was a great little helper in helping us pick out our milk.
(I know what you are thinking- "Don't over do it on the groceries guys" ha)

Ryan ALMOST convinced us to buy him the Easter Bunny bigger than him.
It clearly made him "happiest baby on earth".
Then -we thought our money was probably better spent buying more wipes and baby spoons for him. Maybe you can convince daddy to buy you the bunny when he is out of law school. ha
Someone please tell me how you can come into Walmart with 2 socks and walk out with only 1 sock?!
After being in Walmart for an hour, we lost a sock.
(retraced every step- no idea how the babes pulled this one off)
(GOOD ONE- LITTLE ONE!!)
Worst parents ever.
Oh well, at least he was happy.

Safe to say Ryan will be coming on all grocery trips because it might be his new favorite place.

It's ok to be jealous of this dish because it was that good!
Saturday night we went with my in-laws and I ordered one of the best
salmon, crab, and shrimp dishes that have ever hit my taste buds.
(that is saying a lot)
I even brought Ryan his favorite- sweet potatoes to eat
so he wouldn't feel too left out.

After church on Sunday Ryan really made a dent in practicing his walking skills with daddy.
Pretty sure I'm crossing my fingers that he just stays little forever and never walks.
Ryan decided it would be fun to help us fold the clothes and somehow got Aaron's work out spandex stuck on his head.
We got an free ab workout from laughing so hard.

Someone is on SRING BREAK!
YAY!!
Aaron will be working with his dad this week but spring break means
NO late night classes,
home for dinner every night,
and only minimal amounts of stress and book reading:)

This makes Ryan and I two happy campers.

We will be doing crazy things this week like staying up past our 10:30 bed time,
hitting up Blake Shelton for Ryan's first Rodeo,
and spending many nights at the park as our little fam of 3.
Perfect week if you ask me.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
xoxo

  1. I love all of your pictures of little Ry! Oh my goodness I think I just died a million times over looking at his precious little smiles. And the bunny rabbit in the cart? Swoon. He is seriously so handsome.

& That dish? Talk about food porn. Thanks for making me hungry, again, even though I just finished lunch like 30 mins ago. Haha, fail.
